YODA: “MY ALLY IS THE FORCE, AND A POWERFUL ALLY IT IS. LIFE CREATES IT, MAKES IT GROW. ITS ENERGY SURROUNDS US, BINDS US. LUMINOUS BEINGS ARE WE; NOT THIS CRUDE MATTER.” – STAR WARS (MOVIE)
One of the first movies that made an impression on me was Star Wars. In the early 1980's Star Wars was by far the most popular movie for boys my age. Considering that I had already been into computers and other science fiction concepts, my interest in this movie franchise was inevitable. By this time in my life, I had become somewhat disinterested in anything with patterns that were easy to identify. In the same way, once you know how to perform a magic trick, the fun in being surprised eventually goes away in order to focus upon the next, more difficult concepts.
As I watched the Star Wars movies, my eyes were glued to the screen. Again, I felt my mind swim in the infinite, sparking a potentiated vision of unlimited possibilities. This sense of multidimensional “wonder” always returned me back to my own personal kingdom—the unidentified state of raw energy and cosmic consciousness. In this place, I felt no limits, no boundaries or borders, and no rules that would impinge on my imagination or intuitive wisdom. As I watched Star Wars, I was even able to see how the main character, Luke Skywalker, was being taught to develop his own ability to interact with this invisible energy around him and channel it with only his mind.
I watched in awe at the scenes of flying through space and how Luke seemed to have this connection to the energy around him. Fortunately, I had already conceived of this invisible energy around me. Since nobody had ever told me that it was fantasy, the moment I watched this movie, I was convinced that it was completely possible to manipulate energy.
“CAN YOU HARNESS THE ENERGY AND CARRY THE TORCH? HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE YOU TO YIELD THE FORCE? BECAUSE THIS PART IS NO GAME. THE CARRIER CALLS YOU TO JUMP ON THE TRAIN.” – “CARE TO DANCE?” BY JD STAHL
Even though there were things in the movie that my present level of education had not yet reached, I was still able to draw consistencies between the various concepts and patterns that still remained as unanswered questions in my mind. It was like seeing a certain animal in the forest that had not yet been identified by science. Even though you don't have a word for it, you know it when you see it. So, when I saw Star Wars, I was finally able to empower my own vision to this invisible “force” of energy that was always flowing around me, connecting me to every other living thing.
When we could focus our attention and energy on something intensely enough, the lines between creator and creation begin to blur. At the point when we cannot tell the difference between the art and the artist is where the source of our unlimited capacity lay in wait for us to focus our hearts. When we are able to devote ourselves purely enough, we can channel this invisible energetic “force” to manifest things in our external environment.
Some may call these manifestations or events “synchronicities.” Some may understand them better as “miracles.” There are others who may label the use of this energy as “magic” or “sorcery.” Others—those who have yet to see the difference between themselves and these miraculous events—well, these innocent minds just consider it to be an extension of themselves.
Each of us is, after all, a manifestation of our heart's purity. Fortunately, we have the capacity to cooperate as both art and artist (creation and creator) so that we may manifest our own personal kingdoms into our physical world. Any other ambition is an unfortunate sacrifice of our own resources. To do this for ourselves, without forcing others to shape their worlds the same way, is how we remain the hero in our own story.
Blind Justice
LUKE SKYWALKER: "THE FORCE IS NOT A POWER YOU HAVE. IT'S NOT ABOUT LIFTING ROCKS. IT'S THE ENERGY BETWEEN ALL THINGS, A TENSION, A BALANCE, THAT BINDS THE UNIVERSE TOGETHER." – STAR WARS (MOVIE)
Not only was Luke Skywalker motivated purely from his heart to protect the ones he loved, he also braved the impossible without ever needing any personal reward or recognition. Because of his emotional maturity to sacrifice himself for the greater good, the universe worked in his favor to empower him with all of the necessary “force” to realize his personal vision.
There were many other concepts that were in the movie that my young mind had yet to connect with my external environment. However, even though certain things may not be applicable in the present moment, our exposure to these different stories allows us to “map” how we will envision their introduction in the future. As these stories and patterns speak from our subconscious, eventually they will emerge from our external world, empowering each of us with the necessary “force” to create the hero archetype within us.
Therein lies the power of art. The moment that we are able to deliver ourselves into a state of wonder, we release our rational minds from our physical action—like a karmic clutch—so that we can “shift” into a higher dimension of consciousness. Unless we work in tandem with our intuition, we will not be able to influence how these forces will arrive in our everyday lives. The moment that we recognize our own capacity for such “magic,” however, is the moment we begin our lives as a Jedi.
Justice
JD Stahl (12/06/2020) I could call you beautiful. But that wouldn’t do you justice. Not the words, nor the measure. For letters that build meaning are no match, Not for you or the energy of your presence. If you could only see, If it were physical—if you could touch it. But it’s more like breath—to breath it. You’re the whisper and the wind. You are in between everything I see. The voice behind the focus of my ear. I could only attempt to create you, Like the dawn creates the day. To even try to paint you, With every color that was ever made. You are a mixture of magnificent manifestations, The complete collection of colorized creation. Leaping from your canvas to excite me. Pumping the blood inside me—you give life. Dancing up my body—your eyes ignite. I have been trying to describe you, But I just seem to get lost in your wonder. You redefine my definitions. Your expression accepts without conditions. It’s all I’ve ever known to be true. You move the flowers in the spring to bloom. I’m the tide and you’re my moon. You’re every door and every room. There’s nothing more that you could ever do. And I just wish that you could see. Just how beautiful you are to me. Through my eyes, my heart, Your entire energy. Then you would understand. Then you would trust this. I could call you beautiful, But that wouldn’t do you justice.
